GETTING OLD
Here is a story about getting old
One that I think you should be told
First your skin begins to wrinkle
And your eyes soon lose their twinkle
Then arthritis soon begins to set in
That is when the pain starts to begin
Then your back begins to ache
And the pain killers you start to take
Then your memory forgets to recall
Then you start to shrink and get small
Then your hearing begins to fade And now you need a hearing aid
Going to another room something to get
By the time you get there for you forget
Now your tummy turns to blubber
And begins to bounce like rubber
But so as not you cause distress
Everything else I will let you guess
So now that I have you told
Try to avoid getting old.
If you must I ask you please
Try slipping into it with ease.
