Cigarette

You death dealer

Taker of men

modern Grim Reaper

your smoke rids me of my pain

And  again I've lost the battle to your ‘poised’ silhouette

Many have lost the fight

To your child... Cancer

But now I'm not afraid

I was at your door before

Why should I be scared?

I am angry yet delighted that's your fumes disgust them

And your presence distracts them

But I  light a cigarette

And again I dance the same tune

I am not in love with you

Instead grant me my wish

And I'll be grateful

To dance with you till the very end

My dangerous and lovely and only friend
